Privacy Policy
How AgriSync collects, uses, and protects your information — in plain English, with your rights up front.
Last updated 6 July 2026
AgriSync Ltd (“AgriSync”, “we”, “us”) takes the privacy of the farmers and visitors who use this website seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
AgriSync Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We build farm-management software that helps UK farms stay SFI-compliant, map fields, and cut paperwork. If you have any question about this policy or how we handle your data, email us at hello@agrisync.co.uk.
2. The information we collect
We only collect personal data you choose to give us through the forms on this site:
- Early-access sign-up: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the farm details you share with us, such as your farm name, location, size, and what you grow or rear.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and the content of your enquiry, including any farm details you include.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address.
We do not ask for more than we need, and your phone number is always optional.
3. How we use your information
We use the data above to:
- provide you with early access to AgriSync and help set your farm up;
- respond to your enquiries — we’ll be in touch within one working day;
- send you SFI news and AgriSync updates by email if you have signed up for them. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away.
We never sell your personal data, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing.
4. Lawful bases for processing
Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Contract: processing your sign-up details so we can provide the early-access service you have requested.
- Consent: sending you SFI news and product emails. You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link or emailing us.
- Legitimate interests: responding to enquiries and keeping our website and service secure. We balance these interests against your rights, and we do not use them in ways you would not reasonably expect.
5. Where your data is stored and shared
Your data is stored in UK data centres. We use a small number of trusted service providers — for hosting and email delivery — who process data only on our written instructions and under data-processing agreements that meet UK GDPR requirements.
We do not transfer your personal data outside the UK. We would only disclose data beyond our processors if the law required us to, and we would tell you first wherever we lawfully could.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as we need it:
- Early-access accounts: while your account is active, and for up to 12 months after it closes so you can come back without losing your records.
- Enquiries: up to 24 months from our last exchange, so we have context if you get back in touch.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
After that, we delete or fully anonymise the data.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data;
- Portability — receive your data in a common, machine-readable format;
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to any direct marketing at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@agrisync.co.uk. We respond within one calendar month, free of charge.
8. How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first — we will do our best to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as AgriSync develops. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects how we use your data, let you know by email before it takes effect.
